webcam.org provides:
- A directory of community-shared public webcams
- Self-hosted security camera software and integration tools
By using our platform, you agree to these terms.
1. Your Responsibilities
YOU are solely responsible for:
- All content from cameras you register
- Ensuring you have legal right to share camera feeds
- Compliance with privacy, surveillance, and recording laws
- Securing your account credentials
- Any harm or damages resulting from your camera feeds
2. Public Camera Requirements
✅ What You CAN Share:
- Outdoor cameras on property you own or control
- Public spaces where you have explicit permission
- Traffic, weather, and wildlife cameras
- Cameras with accurate location information and descriptions
❌ What's PROHIBITED:
- Indoor cameras (unless public business with explicit signage)
- Cameras pointed at neighbors' private property (windows, yards)
- Bathrooms, bedrooms, changing rooms, or private spaces
- Deceptive labeling or fake locations
- Cameras used for harassment, stalking, or voyeurism
- Recording minors as primary subjects without authorization
3. Manual Approval Process
All public cameras require manual review and approval by webcam.org. We may request verification of your identity and camera location. Approval can be revoked at any time for Terms violations.
4. Content License
By sharing a public camera, you grant webcam.org a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and stream your camera feed. You retain all ownership rights and can remove your camera from public listing anytime.
5. Privacy & Video Storage
Private Cameras: We do NOT store or access your private camera footage. Video streams peer-to-peer or through your own server.
Public Cameras: Live streams are visible to anyone viewing our map. We may cache thumbnails for performance.

6. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Share illegal, harmful, threatening, or inappropriate content
- Surveil individuals without legally required consent
- Attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Use the service for commercial purposes without our written consent
- Scrape or harvest data without permission
7. Copyright & DMCA
We respect copyright. If your camera captures copyrighted content (music, television, etc.), you may receive DMCA notices.

Repeat Infringer Policy: Accounts with repeated violations will be terminated.
8. Subscriptions & Payments
Free Tier: Limited cameras, notifications, local storage only
Plus Tier ($3/month): Cloud backup (7 days), unlimited notifications
Pro Tier ($8/month): 30-day backup, priority support
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. No refunds for partial periods.
9. Termination
You may: Delete your account anytime through account settings
We may: Suspend or terminate accounts for violations, illegal activity, or service discontinuation (with 30 days notice)
Upon termination: Access revoked, public cameras removed, paid subscriptions non-refundable
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES. We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted, secure, or error-free service
- Content accuracy or reliability
- Data storage without loss
- Public cameras will remain online or accessible
11. Limitation of Liability
Maximum Liability: Greater of $100 or amounts you paid us in the past 12 months
We are NOT liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
- User content or conduct of third parties
- Unauthorized access to your data
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless webcam.org from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Your camera content
13. Dispute Resolution
Governing Law: United States law
Arbitration: Disputes resolved through binding arbitration (except small claims court or injunctive relief)
Class Action Waiver: Disputes must be resolved individually, not as part of a class action
14. Beta Service Acknowledgment
webcam.org is currently in BETA. By using the service, you acknowledge:
- Features may change or be discontinued without notice
- Service stability is not guaranteed
- Data loss is possible (backup your own footage)
- We appreciate your feedback to improve the platform
